BACARDI TRUE ORIGINALS PART 2, "THE HUMMINGBIRD"

The second installment of Bacardi's viral series "True Originals" has been released and this time it's a super sexy female bartender dubbed "The Hummingbird".  With the first in the series being The Samurai and paying tribute to a killer shake. Video two focuses on a hot female bartender preparing a Pina Colada for the same mystery customer we saw in the first video.

OI! COINTREAU, NO!

Cointreau! What are you playing at? I came across a bottle of Cointreau the other day that came with a free promotional gift. This is all well and good if it were a 50ml bottle of a lesser known liquor they're trying to push or perhaps a coaster that doubles as a bottle opener (thankyou Moosehead for that one!). VISIT GASTOWN HOUSE

Due to the concentration of the masses of olympic revellers in the downtown core, particularly, Granville, Robson and Yaletown, some of the other Vancouver neighbourhoods seem to be somewhat forgotten.

NEW CRAFT COCKTAIL BOOK

Later this month, Tony Abou-Ganim will be launching his first cocktail book, 'The Modern Mixologist: Contemporary Classic Cocktails'.

Nothing quite hits the mark like the Full English breakfast pictured above, but there are some notables.

Sure there's the hotel spreads and the finer dining brunches, and they're great, but that's a bit fancy for me. When I'm in the throws of a stonking hangover I'm more of a fan of a good honest breakfast in a nice little cafe or diner that's not going to break the bank, and so here's bunch of the better breakfast spots in town:

WHAT A BUNCH OF ICEHOLES!

Friday the 12th of Feb 2010 marks the launch of Vancouver's very own R&B Brewing Co 's latest brew, 'Iceholes Celebration Lager'. The name was inspired from an on screen rant, by comedian Stephen Colbert.

BACKBAR INDEPENDENT BAR GUIDE RELEASE VANCOUVER

As you may or may not have noticed, the Olympics are coming at the end of this week and it'll be bringing rather a lot of extra people to our city, an estimated 1.5 million in fact.
