WHAT A BUNCH OF ICEHOLES!

Friday the 12th of Feb 2010 marks the launch of Vancouver's very own R&B Brewing Co 's latest brew, 'Iceholes Celebration Lager'. The name was inspired from an on screen rant, by comedian Stephen Colbert.

Stephen Colbert is actually a proud ambassador of the American Olympic speed skating team.  He was wrongly informed that the U.S team would not be granted any pre-Olympic practice time on Canadian ice, he was none too pleased and called all Canadians "a bunch of syrup sucking iceholes."

Brilliantly, Barry Benson the founder of local microbrewery R&B Brewing Co embraced the term saying" I think it's a complimentary term, we love it, it's tongue-in-cheek and it's turned into a fun back and forth". Benson has also suitably put aside a case of the tasty new lager for when the comedian embarks on the city of Vancouver for the Olympics.
