A STROLL DOWN GRANVILLE ST
We nipped down town last night for a little bit of that Olympic feeling. Masses of people from around the globe were cruising the streets, with pockets of chanting fans providing the soundtrack. Thousands of people queued for hours in the rain to catch a glimpse of Wilco's free show in David Lam Park. Beautiful Art Installations at the northern end of the pedestrian zone on Granville. My advice would be to get down early, commit to one of the Olympic Nation Houses for some inebriation (you will have to queue, so bring a hip flask), have a look around, then retire up Main St when things start to turn sleazy on Granville.
